The Agony & The Entropy
An evening in winter, chilly, sweet smell of marijuana smoke drifting up from below, sad and alone by choice and condescension rather than necessity-
All this world is fleeting
It's all too fleet
So why am I repeating
this same old repeat?
All the world is feeling
the feeling I feel
While the wind blows sadly gloaming
I wonder if its real?
All this world is freezing
The morning blue and grey
The frost, leaves, people sneezing
Another frozen day
All the world is flunking
It's too far gone to save
Bring an apple for the teacher
The children, they're all slaves
And if all the world is failing
You know it's a crying shame
The agony and the entropy -
The sacred and profane.
All this world is fleeting
It's all too fleet
So why am I repeating
this same old repeat?
All the world is feeling
the feeling I feel
While the wind blows sadly gloaming
I wonder if its real?
All this world is freezing
The morning blue and grey
The frost, leaves, people sneezing
Another frozen day
All the world is flunking
It's too far gone to save
Bring an apple for the teacher
The children, they're all slaves
And if all the world is failing
You know it's a crying shame
The agony and the entropy -
The sacred and profane.
